1. Read about and be able to define the issues related to 3 slides of our slide show about labor. Be able to answer the following questions: (24 points)
a) What is the issue?
b) When did this happen?
c) What caused this event or issue?
d) What are the consequences of this issue?
e) Who are the most significant leaders or groups and what did they do?
f) Relate this issue to another historical event of that period. You’ll need to do some reading
“around” your topic; read about events during the same period.
Extra credit if you type your answers and email them to me by Friday morning!
2. Read “A People’s History of the United States” (Zinn) chapter 15; “Self Help in Hard Times.”
3. Answer questions about this chapter (provided in class).
